4 mile interview

boy was i breathless afterwards!! haha, that's a joke! apparently 4 mile pres. is 4 miles from rt. 60. it was important for me to know that for my decision making purposes! (what? er, i don't know)

ok, what is important is they joked and laughed with me and eachother - oh, by "they" i mean the 8 people who were in on this conference call: the pastor, the worship leader, the previous youth pastor, 2 students, a teacher, an elder, and my CCO (potential) supervisor. so back to the joking - which actually makes me feel kinda "at home."

they asked me about where i've been, my family and the experiences that have shaped me. though they didn't ask me directly about my relationship with God, wouldn't you know it was difficult for me to answer any question without Him popping up in my response in some way. especially when they asked me about the "techniques" i would use or my "priorities" in ministry. which is funny because i don't really have any. i said i would walk in grace but beyond that my experience has been that people respond the most to real. they certainly got a glimpse of passion and intensity in me as well as emotion.
the best i can do is let them know who i am.

so decisions are in God's hands. i suppose i'll hear sometime this week if they want to make me an offer or not. and then i'll know more how to pray. i really REALLY REALLY want to re-ephasize my desire for certainty and clarity. i know we plan out way but God directs our steps - but i have don emy share of "off-roading" and i am so hungry for clear direction. i don't want to go anywhere without absolute confirmation. maybe i haven't been satisfied with my "this seems like a good idea" decisions of the past.

Exodus 33:15 is kinda my theme verse at the moment.
"If your presence will not go with me, do not bring us up from here."
