upside down and backwards

ok, i had this big update all typed out, but the picture refuses to load and without the picture the rest is sorta senseless. so instead i thought i'd share a story about how things in new zealand sometimes seems a little upside down quite literally sometimes.
for example, the sky is upside down. i've never seen it from this angle. orion is in the sky now (i don't know if you can see it or not) and i was sitting with denise, a camp mom, and damaris on the hill behind our house as the sun was setting and the sky was getting dark. i believe i commented on the beauty of the sky and all the stars that were out and how awkward it is for me to see orion upside down (seriously, his little dagger is pointing straight up!). just lay on your back and turn your self upside down next time you see him and you'll see him like how i see him... anyways, denise was confused. she doesn't know orion. and of course not, he doesn't look like a warrior from this angle. but he does look like a pot. and that's that they call him: 'the pot.' if you are looking at him upside down his famous three start belt makes the bottom of a pot and his dagger sticking striaght up and to the side makes the handle. ironically enough we were sitting in teapot valley when this was revealed to me (i'm a little teapot... here is my handle, here is my spout). haha.

oh! and just for fun: try to imagine looking over your left shoulder while backing up the car!
